VE Exams at 12:30 p.m. Saturday March 30, walk-ins welcome!
Bring two forms of identification, including a photo I-D, as well as the original and photocopies of all current FCC licenses and certificates of successful completion of exam. $ 15 cash exam fee. The photocopies will not be returned. Persons needing special accomodations should check with the contact person in advance of the exam date.

9am, Digital Emergency Comms in Maine - Status and Directions, KB1TCE, Steve Hansen

This presentation will present an overview of a number of items with the goal to stimulate discussion. Topics will include some of the tools and methods for data mode communications, the use of NBEMS in the HARP net, the use of flmsg for submission of storm reports to Gray NWS, the nascent packet & HF BBS network, the Winlink system, the Digital Traffic Network and finally, ham interoperability with SHARES Winlink and the SHARES Alerting project using fldigi/flamp.

Jon Wallace, ARRL member will discuss how to use SDR in projects with Amateur Radio Astronomy.
